I’ve interviewed hundreds of people in my career. Whether I’m filming for a documentary or while researching a client, I love to get to the heart of what makes someone passionate about their work.

Honestly, I think most people have not been asked to dig deep into who they are and why they do what they do. As cliche as it is, everyone has a story and when you have the space to truly share it, it’s beautiful!

And the men who’ve cried during an interview inevitably joke about hating it, but their smirks tell me they love it.

One night in Peru I was almost kidnapped and stabbed while making a documentary about child sex trafficking.

Yes, it’s the most insane story. No, I still have not told my mom.
